“Born in Zimbabwe, Rouse worked in hospital and community pharmacy before moving to the USA in 2001 to join the Accreditation for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), where his primary role is Director, International Services. In this role, Rouse established ACPE’s International Services Program, which is now active in 12 countries, mainly in the MENA Region.

Rouse established the International Forum for Quality Assurance of Pharmacy Education and authored the FIP Global Framework for Quality Assurance of Pharmacy Education (2008, 2014). He was Lead for Quality Assurance for FIP’s Education Initiative and served as Co-Lead for Continuing Education/Continuing Professional Development. He has published extensively, mainly in the areas of continuing professional development, credentialing in pharmacy, and quality of pharmacy education.

Rouse served as president of the Pharmaceutical Society of Zimbabwe and the National Pharmaceutical Council. For over 30 years he was active in FIP, serving on the Board of Directors (“Bureau”), Board of Pharmaceutical Practice (BPP), Foundation for Education and Research, and Community and Academic Sections’ Executive Committees. He has travelled to over 80 countries and spoken at numerous national and international conferences.”
